On August 26, 2020, NewRez released Announcement 2020-098 stating that closings and fundings would be paused in those counties. A subsequent announcement, 2020-104 was released on September 2, 2020, opening up closings and fundings in certain zip codes for Conventional and VA products.
Monterey County – All Products
Effective immediately, NewRez is lifting the pause in closings and fundings in all of Monterey County as the River Fire is 100% contained. This applies to Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA products. Inspections or appraisals will be needed, as applicable, in the following zip codes. Reference NewRez’s Disaster Policy for full requirements.
